Typical Pre-Run Analyses Include:

· Directional tendencies for accurate dogleg prediction.

· Critical speed mapping to avoid damaging vibration.

· Modal analysis for proactive sensor placement.

· Stress analysis to aid condition-based monitoring.

Post-Run Analysis

Refining the BHA in preparation for subsequent runs is equally important. Comparing the plan Vs. the actual run data provides sufficient information to define unknowns such as borehole friction, hole over-gauge and bit directional behavior.
